Hooker Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings, recently received new inventory of its Susan G. Komen licensed collection via magenta shipping containers operated by Ocean Network Express (ONE). The eye-catching containers feature a pink ribbon – the international symbol for breast cancer awareness. Shipped as part of its “ONE Pink Ribbon” campaign, ONE will make a donation of $3,500 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in the name of Hooker Furnishings as a result of several recent shipments.

Launched in 2021, ONE designed the campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer globally, by transforming hundreds of its iconic magenta shipping containers to feature the pink ribbon. Products shipped on the designated containers will support a range of breast cancer charities around the world through a donation based on the annual mileage generated from the customized pink ribbon containers. “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to ship our Susan G. Komen collection on the ONE pink ribbon containers,” said Mike Harris, President of Hooker Case Goods and Upholstery.

“Carrying a ‘not to miss’ breast cancer awareness message across cities and oceans, these shipments further support our mission to create awareness and generate as much revenue as possible in support of the global fight against breast cancer. “We are proud to support ONE in their efforts and hope to secure future shipments of our products through this important campaign,” he added. “Together, by supporting both organizations, we can make a difference.”

Earlier this month, Hooker Furniture extended its partnership with Susan G. Komen for an additional year. The product collaboration features accent furniture characterized by signature pink hues, soft curves, and feminine silhouettes. The Susan G. Komen licensed collection was originally launched by Hooker Furniture in the fall of 2022 with an initial donation of $10,000. Going forward, five percent of the wholesale sales price from each piece sold within the collection will be donated to Susan G. Komen.
