Abbyson today announced that Michael Connell, Product Performance Analyst, is the company's Employee of the Year for 2018. The award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond their normal duties, has an outstanding work ethic, meets achievements that positively impact the company and is overall a good influence in the organization.

“Michael has improved overall Abbyson operations across all areas,” said Yavar Rafieha, Abbyson’s CEO. “He is a very active part of the team, and always does it with a very positive attitude. He is very respected within the all departments at Abbyson, so much so that several have requested he transfer to their teams.”

Connell is known at Abbyson for providing help and support as needed across all teams. He regularly steps out of the responsibilities of his position to help train others, update systems, lend a hand as needed and help create and implement systems that save other employees time and effort. And, Rafieha says, he does it all without seeking recognition or praise. “Michael Connell is the definition of #alltogethernow," he says.

“Winning Employee of the Year was a great surprise,” Connell said. “I feel very honored and humbled to be given such a significant award and wouldn’t have been able to win without my fellow Abbyson teammates who shared their knowledge and skills with me.”

Abbyson conducts a voting process that involves all employees, managers and the executive team in which Connell received the most votes. He was awarded the grand prize of an all-expense-paid trip to Cabo San Lucas.
