High Point Market today announced the lineup of entertainment for the Stars Under the Stars event series at the spring market, April 14-18.

On Saturday, April 14, Con Brio will grace Center Stage with a unique sound often likened to music all-stars Michael Jackson, James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone. PopMatters calls them “the best new live band in America.”

Funky, soulful, bluesy, hard-charging and always energetic, this is a band that transforms life’s joys and struggles into tightly crafted tunes that will inspire you to dance. “We don’t want to walk. We don’t want to drive,” says Con Brio frontman Ziek McCarter. “We want to fly.”

On Sunday, April 15, Lee Ann Womack brings her blend of country, soul, gospel and blues to High Point Market. Praised by the likes of The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and more, she has sung for multiple presidents and performed award-winning duets with Willie Nelson, John Prine and John Legend.

With six albums and multiple international chart-topping singles to her credit, Womack has earned six Country Music Association Awards, including Single of the Year and Album of the Year, five Academy of Country Music Awards, and a Grammy, among others. Her latest album, “The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone,” has “some of the most immediate and deeply felt vocal performances” of her career, according to NPR Music, and taps into “the emotional core of country.”

Doors open for both nights at 7 p.m. at Center Stage, between the Transportation Terminal and Showplace. Early entry for market-goers who have been issued a Buyer pass will begin at 6:45 p.m. Complimentary food and drinks are provided to all market-goers with a current Spring Market pass and photo ID. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted. Details can also be found at www.highpointmarket.org.
