The digital market has been designed to expand the IMC buyer experience around markets, Juniper CEO Bill Furlong says. “People still want to see the colors, touch the fabrics and sit in the sofas; that’s part of making good buying decisions,” he notes. Between markets, however, retailers and designers have purchasing needs, and JuniperMarket provides a convenient outlet for that.
To ensure a productive experience on JuniperMarket, the work behind the scenes has been extensive. There have been more than one million SKUs from a wide range of companies uploaded to JuniperMarket, and new product is being added each week. “This is a two-sided marketplace,” says Furlong. “There’s a sequence to how it has to unfold. We’ve worked to get the content sellers to engage first and get the product content on board. Then, during the beta testing period, we’ve been working out how to make the JuniperMarket buyer experience better.”
