Meyda Lighting received the 2017 Family Business Manufacturing Excellence Award last month at the Genesee Grande Hotel, marking the second time in three years the company has won the award.

Family Business Awards were given to innovative family businesses that have shown rapid growth, excelled in community service, promoted international development and are multi-generational. These businesses have nurtured the community through their generosity of time, financial support and dedication. The awards were presented by Wilmington Trust and produced by BizEventz.

“Winning the Manufacturing Excellence Award speaks volumes about our commitment to the American dream,” said Director of Hospitality Marketing Max Cohen. “Manufacturing excellence is the outcome of a constant push to provide the highest level of customer service and product quality. Creating beautiful lighting fixtures in Central New York also demonstrates our support for the American workforce and business growth in this community. The “YES” attitude is our No. 1 guiding principle. As a custom manufacturer of lighting, our market is always looking for the most capable problem solver."

“Remaining vertical is also critical in our business," continued Cohen. "Control over each step of the manufacturing process helps maintain levels of unmatched quality. Almost every item we manufacture stays under our roof from start to finish. We pride our company as innovators in lighting design, quality and technology.
