Gift for Life, the gift and home industries' charitable organization, announced today that two of its beneficiaries – LIFELINE for Feeding America and DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS – will be the recipients of funds raised through NY NOW Cares, a new initiative which fosters community between market registrants and noteworthy charitable causes by giving back.

In connection with the winter 2019 edition of NY NOW, running Feb. 3-6, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, NY NOW will donate $1 for each qualified buyer registration submitted in November and December via a special web link, nynow.market/cares.

During the month of November, funds raised will benefit LIFELINE, a gift and home industry initiative to help Feeding America fund food in times of crisis; and beginning on Dec. 1 (World AIDS Day), and through year-end, funds raised will benefit DIFFA.

“NY NOW is a long-time supporter of Gift for Life and a Presenting Sponsor for our annual Party for Life fundraiser. We’re delighted to extend our partnership with NY NOW, and their parent company Emerald Expositions, on this unique new fundraising initiative,” said George Kacic, Gift for Life Chair. “We are grateful that NY NOW Cares selected LIFELINE and its beneficiary Feeding America for their November giving; and DIFFA in connection with World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 for their December donation."

“We recognize that attending market is an investment for our attendees and we want to share with them the sense of community and the importance of giving back,” said Amy Loewenberg, NY NOW Buyer Relations Manager. “NY NOW Cares and our support for Gift for Life is just one of the many ways that we continue to grow and foster our community for good.”

Each year, Gift for Life hosts events throughout the U.S. benefitting DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. The primary mission of Gift for Life and DIFFA is to raise funds and awareness to fight HIV/AIDS. With Gift for Life’s help, DIFFA granted $331,500 last year to 31 organizations providing HIV/AIDS service and education programs nationwide. For additional information visit www.giftforlife.org.
