H Contract has redesiged its website to deliver a better user experience.

With a host of new features, H Contract has revamped its website, hcontractfurniture.com, to deliver a best-in-class experience for its customers in the contract furnishings industry. Recently debuted in November, the redesign is phase one of a multi-faceted website enhancement initiative.

Key updates included in the first phase are a more streamlined user experience with broader product offering, improved search functionality – including product categorization by brand – and a variety of additional marketing capabilities available on demand.

“Our new website allows our contract customers and commercial interior design partners to more easily discover our products in a streamlined and integrated environment that presents the entirety of our broad product offering within the framework of one website,” said Dean Jarrett, Vice President and General Manager of H Contract. “Searching our extensive assortment of products will no longer redirect users to our individual brand websites. Rather, it keeps them on our main site, making it much more user-friendly – and honestly, less confusing – for our business partners.

“Because we are a division of Hooker Furnishings, we can offer products from Hooker Furniture’s vast upholstery and case goods inventory,” he explained. “This, paired with our made-to-order seating – produced domestically at our Bedford, Virginia facility – positions us as one of the largest providers of specialty products for senior living and other commercial environments in the industry. And, the best part is that now we can present our complete portfolio of products to our customers through one state-of-the-art website.”

With more than 2,500 SKUs that cater to the unique needs of its partners across the contract industry, the redesign also includes enhanced product discovery and search capabilities. This benefit allows its customers the ability to search by various product specifications and return more granular results than ever before.

“The enhanced search capabilities have already proven to be a tremendous resource for our commercial interior design partners who are specifying products for commercial spaces,” Jarrett added. “From brand, to product type, to style category, to item dimensions, designers can more quickly narrow products down to suit their specific needs for each project.

“Whether they are looking to place an order for H Contract seating through our domestic production facility or specify products from our host of in-stock upholstery and case good items through our warehouse in Virginia, the new site makes product discovery quick and easy,” he added.

In addition to improved search capabilities, a more robust assortment of marketing and sales support materials are now also available on-demand through the website – as opposed to having to go through a sales representative. Materials include warranty details, price lists, a sales rep locator, material specification documents and a contract-specific furniture care and maintenance guide.

“Our new website is the first step in a larger strategic plan that will unfold in the coming year to promote our position in the marketplace as a leading provider of contract-specific seating and case goods,” Jarrett said. “It is an integral element in our strategy to create a world-class experience across all areas of our business for our partners.”

Additional website enhancements are currently in development to further streamline ease of doing business with the company.  These new features will be rolled out during the first half of 2023.
