With lighting, furniture and home accessories, Currey & Co. is a well-rounded showroom for the Americasmart Building 1 Lobby.

International Market Centers (IMC) achieves another milestone as it enters Phase 3 of its Atlanta NEXT plan to reinvigorate the design business at AmericasMart Atlanta with the opening of a new, open-year-round showroom for Currey & Company in the Building 1 lobby. The showroom is a key element in a dynamic new arrival experience in debut at the Winter 2021 Atlanta Market, January 12-19, 2021.

“With this new Currey & Company presentation and the adjacent Nourison lobby showroom, design inspiration begins the minute designers arrive on the AmericasMart campus,” said Scott Eckman, IMC Chief Revenue Officer. “As part of the transformation of the lobby, they immediately signal that great design is happening here.”

“Our industry is about people and product, and our new flagship Atlanta showroom is being built with this in mind,” said Brownlee Currey, Currey & Company president. The new, 10,000+-square-foot showroom and special events space (B1 1-L3-6) will showcase Currey & Company’s lighting, furniture and accessories year-round to designers and retailers. Future plans for the space include hosting events with various local and national magazines, live demos and workshops featuring artists and craftsmen, special exhibits of one-of-a-kind artifacts and antiques and new product launches. Until those events can safely resume, the showroom will be open Monday – Friday (appointments preferred) and will serve as the backdrop for occasional virtual tours and virtual events.

“With each and every newly designed showroom Currey & Company has opened over the last two years, we have continued to move toward a new standard of presentation and a better customer experience that delights and inspires. Each previous showroom informs the next,” added Cecil Adams, Currey Vice President, Creative Director. “Atlanta is our hometown and we are very excited and ready to show a refined vision of what a Currey & Company showroom will be for the 21st century. Expect a lightness and clarity, as well as an exploration of new and different materials and ways to highlight our product and enhance the customer experience.”

The lobby-level Currey & Company space joins 130+ showrooms in AmericasMart’s newly re-merchandised home décor collection, which collectively presents 350+ lighting, accent furniture, rugs, wall décor, casual furniture and linens brands. Additionally, Currey & Company is one of AmericasMart’s 400+ Open Year Round showrooms, which afford designers and retailers daily access to nearly 2,000 home décor, gift and apparel lines.

Winter 2021 Atlanta Market runs January 12-19, 2021, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Attendees must register for one of two sessions and follow IMC’s Together Safely protocols including the use of PPE and temperature checks to visit the showroom. Additional information is available at
