Decorative Fabrics of America is unveiling its exclusive Celliant Home brand of performance textiles at the Showtime Fabric Fair and throwing a three-day sock-hop celebration (complete with socks) in its 8th floor Market Square Tower showroom to celebrate.

“We’re turning back the clock and getting ready to rock around it,” says Bob McKinnon, President of Decorative Fabrics of America. “To introduce the first-ever collection of responsive woven textiles for the home—produced using a patented blend of thermo-reactive minerals infused into the core of the fiber—we’re giving our market guests a pair of professional athletic socks made with Celliant technology. We want them to personally experience how our exclusive responsive woven textiles interact with the body, recycling its natural energy emissions to promote more energy and less fatigue.”

Indeed, the executive says Celliant Home is set to knock market-goers socks off with technology already outperforming performance fabrics in the professional athletic wear industry. “Simply stated, Celliant is the world’s most advanced, clinically tested, responsive textile technology and it’s already used in a wide range of products like athletic apparel and bedding. Now, for the first time ever, Celliant is being translated into the interiors market via Celliant Home, thanks to our exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute woven Celliant for the contract and home furnishings fabric markets in North America, Mexico and the Caribbean.”

Made in the United States, and classified by the FDA as a medical device, Celliant fabrics recycle human energy and apply to any interior where sitting is part of the experience—increasing stamina and improving strength and speed and promoting faster recovery, in addition to endurance and better sleep.

“It may sound like science fiction, but Celliant technology is clinically proven to enhance tissue oxygen levels, which translates to more fuel for your body,” McKinnon explains. “It’s based on three fundamental scientific principles: Your body emits heat; certain naturally occurring minerals absorb heat and emit infrared energy and the infrared energy is recycled back into the skin and tissue improving circulation and increasing tissue oxygen in a safe and natural way. People who use textiles made from Celliant report greater energy, improved quality of life and a heightened sense of wellbeing.”

At Showtime, Decorative Fabrics will unveil a collection of responsive woven textiles with names like Twist, Boogie and Swing, in keeping with its sock hop theme. “We invite market-goers to experience the energy and all the fun typically associated with an old-fashioned sock hop, from diner food and ice-cold bottled Cokes to the great music of the era,” McKinnon notes. “But even when the party ends, the good times will continue because Celliant won’t wear out.”

Made from a mix of silica, alumina and titanium dioxide—minerals selected for their thermo-reactive ability to most effectively convert body heat into infrared energy and emit it back into the body—the effects of Celliant never diminish through washing or wear like coated textiles.

“Celliant is guaranteed to last the life of these new products. Plus, the durable patterns exceed all industry performance criteria for break strength, seam slippage, colorfastness to light, crocking and pilling,” McKinnon relates. “We are incredibly excited about introducing these new products and believe we are set to create an entirely new dimension in performance textiles.”
