As part of the grand opening of the new Interior Home + Design Center at Dallas Market Center, architect Hermes Mallea will speak on Thursday, June 22 at noon on the building’s first floor.

Mallea’s talk will focus on “Great Houses of Havana,” his book that explores the rich history of architecture and interior design in Havana. As a longtime collector of vintage Cuban photographs, he has traveled to the country often to conduct research and lecture on historic preservation.

“As interest in Cuba’s history and culture escalates, we are proud to host Hermes to present his unique perspective on architecture and design,” said Cindy Morris, President and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We invite all designers and interested retailers to join us for a lively visual tour and discussion.”

Mallea is a partner in the New York City based firm M(Group) and studied at the University of Miami School of Architecture and Columbia University’s graduate school of historic preservation. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
