Furniture retailers are ready to reopen, but what if their employees aren't sharing that enthusiasm? This week’s live COVID-19 webinar from the Home Furnishings Association (HFA) will help owners answer any HR and legal issues they might face with their employees on the road to reopening.

Human resource expert Eric Martin and employment law attorney Pascal Benyamini will discuss worker safety, issues involving the Family Medical Leave Act and the Family First Coronavirus Response Act, unemployment, changing job descriptions and more.

The webinar, which will be streamed May 7 at noon PDT (3 p.m. EDT), is part of the HFA’s ongoing webinar series helping furniture retailers through the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. Retailers who can’t attend the webinar can find it on the HFA’s COVID-19 Recovery Resources page along with other HFA webinars dedicated to helping furniture retailers bounce back. The Recovery Resources page also keeps retailers updated on the HFA's lobbying efforts in Washington on their behalf as well as best practices by furniture retailers who are starting to reopen their businesses.

HFA Executive Vice President Mark Schumacher will host this Thursday's webinar. Furniture retailers can bring questions and register at www.register.gotowebinar.com.
