Hinkley, a designer and distributor of decorative lighting and ceiling fans, announced that Jim Decker has accepted the role of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective Dec. 9, 2019. In his role, Decker will focus on driving all sales, marketing and strategic Initiatives for Hinkley’s customers worldwide.

I see his appointment as another strategic step for Hinkley to accelerate our continued market share growth,” said Jess Wiedemer, President of Hinkley. “Jim is an industry veteran with extensive experience in the Decorative & Commercial lighting industry across multiple channels and end markets, which will be critical as we build on our strategic growth plan.”
Decker joins Hinkley from Progress Lighting (a division of Hubbell Inc.) where he held various leadership positions over the past 26 years. During the past five years he was Vice President/General Manager of Residential Lighting, responsible for the overall management of all the Hubbell residential lighting brands across North America and China. His leadership across multiple industries and disciplines spans sales, marketing, strategic planning, product development, supply chain management and operations. Decker also held GM positions for the Prescolite and Kurt Versen commercial lighting brands during his tenure at Hubbell.
