Home Furnishings Lines to Debut in Historic Market Square for Spring High Point Market

Three new and relocated showrooms will debut in Historic Market Square for the April market.

Three new and relocated showrooms will debut in Historic Market Square for spring 2019 High Point Market, joining more than 40 tenants in one of the market’s distinguished destinations. Historic Market Square is a repurposed furniture factory that encompasses five floors of home furnishings product and includes the Antique & Design Center. Spring market runs April 6 - 10, 2019.

“Historic Market Square is a must-shop building for every marketgoer,” said Scott Eckman, Executive Vice President, President of Furniture and Home Decor leasing for International Market Centers. “Historic Market Square continues to expand its presentation each market with designer-friendly furniture and home decor products.”

Two exhibitors new to Historic Market Square for spring market are Louise Gaskill Company (lighting) and Tempo Home (fabrics and decorative accessories); and Lane Venture (home furnishings) is relocating from the third floor to the first. These new and relocated exhibitors join notable tenants that include Asia Minor Carpets Inc.; Capel Rugs; Feizy Rugs; Hickory Chair; Hudson Valley Lighting; Kravet Furniture, Lee Jofa, Brunschwig & Fils; Pearson; Safavieh; Thibaut Fine Furniture and Togar Rugs.

Lane Venture is based in Newton, NC and offers fun and functional casual/outdoor home furnishings with a high-fashion touch. The Lane Venture line includes accent tables, chaises, cocktail tables, consoles, gliders, loveseats, ottomans and sofas, among other products.

Louise Gaskill Company is based in Raleigh, NC and offers unique lamps and chandeliers that are vintage in feel but new and modern in design. Clean lines, vintage components and beautiful Mid-Century glass define the company’s pieces. Their line also includes sconces, pendants and rare collectible glass. For spring market, Louise Gaskill Company is relocating from a temporary booth in the Suites at Market Square to a showroom in Historic Market Square.

High Point-based Tempo Home is a fabric and accessories line and manufacturer of decorative pillows and outdoor replacement cushions.

New and existing tenants are also introducing new product at spring market. Hickory Chair is showcasing the Ray Booth Collection, which will include bedroom, dining room and living room furnishings and decorative accessories; Lane Venture is introducing the Hemingway Plantation, Jewel, Essentials Dining, Oasis and Jackson collections; Louise Gaskill is launching the Finial and Drapery Hardware Collection and Tempo Home is debuting the Terrasol Collection.

Located on the Ground and Mezzanine floors in Historic Market Square, the Antique & Design Center offers a collection of more than 65 antique dealers and artisans. Open from April 4-10, the center is a favorite destination for interior designers looking for one-of-a-kind pieces. New exhibitors in the Antique & Design Center include: Ashcroft and Moore; J. Covington; Luxe 1020; Marlene and Company Interiors, Inc.; Michael Higgins Antiques & Art; Roman Antiques; Tomlinson Antiques; Very Vintage Villa; Village Antiques and Withington and Company.
