Hooker Furniture is settings its sights on expanding its relationships and support of interior designers around the country through a new relationship forged with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and its more than 25,000 members. Registered as a National Industry Partner, Hooker Furniture and its sister companies, Bradington-Young and Sam Moore Furniture, plan greater participation in key networking events in the ASID community nationally and through its 47 chapters across the country.

Through the new partnership, Hooker Furniture will be exposed to exclusive information, allowing the company to stay atop of emerging trends within the design world and participate in conversations with leading interior designers and industry influencers through engagement at ASID events and conferences, email communications and social media campaigns.

“This is the first step in a larger strategic plan that will unfold in the coming months to promote our position in the marketplace as a premier furniture resource for the interior design community,” said Johne Albanese, Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Hooker Furniture. “Our broad product line of casegoods, leather and fabric-upholstered furniture, combined with our domestic warehouse program in Martinsville and the customization opportunities available through our domestically-produced Bradington-Young and Sam Moore upholstery brands, position us as an excellent resource for designers looking for on-trend products and custom upholstery with no minimum order requirements.”

Through its Industry Partner Program, ASID connects companies that provide a product or service to the industry, such as furniture and lighting, with professional designers. Together, ASID and its partners aim to continually improve the professional level of the interior design practice through participation and support of research, educational programs and other activities.

“We are thrilled about our new partnership and recognize that it is critical to the success of our strategic plan to continue to grow our business with designers and to also show our support of the design community and the value they add to our industry and to consumer’s lives,” Albanese continued.

“ASID is an organization that thrives through the commitment and generous support of our partners,” said ASID CEO Randy Fiser, Hon. FASID. “The Society is thrilled that Hooker Furniture is an ASID National Industry Partner and looks forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come.”
