MyPlanet, a nonprofit organization focused on housing and medical support for vulnerable populations around the world, has unveiled its plans to open MyPlanet Living Centers (MPLC) around the country in 2021. MPLC, a new concept in home remodeling, renovation and building, will open its first two locations this year in New York City and Miami’s Design District in first quarter of 2021.

MyPlanet Living Centers (MPLC), conceptualized and brought to life by MyPlanet Founder, entrepreneur and philanthropist Mayan Metzler, are designed as one-location showroom spaces displaying all the latest and greatest in every product category in home remodeling and new home building.

The showrooms will expose home owners and trade professionals to higher-end and more sophisticated product selection in categories including Kitchen, Bath, Flooring, Windows, Exteriors, Green products, Roofs, Closets, Tile, Home Automation, Exterior Wall Systems, Pluming, Water Management Systems, Indoor and Outdoor Furniture, Alternative Energy, and more. MPLC is currently in the process of cementing partnerships with leading suppliers in every product category. MPLC staple partners include GKC, the largest national multi-brand chain of European kitchens in the U.S., which was founded by Mr. Metzler; and MyPlanet Construction system, a revolutionary energy-efficient home building method, which is more durable to storms, fires and earthquakes than traditional methods.

Each MPLC partner will operate their own space within the MPLC space, similar to a permanent “trade show booth” with MPLC staff available for customer service. In addition, each MPLC will be equipped with cutting- edge AV equipment allowing online showroom visits. MPLC spaces will be staffed and set up with café areas catering to guests and events with MPLC partners having access to the entire MPLC space for special events. Future MPLC locations will also include indoor playgrounds.

“MPLC showrooms are fulfilling various needs currently lacking in the home renovation market for both customers and suppliers,” says Mr. Metzler who is hailed by Kitchen & Bath Design News as one of the country’s leading innovators in his field. “For customers with projects requiring advanced and higher-quality products, the process becomes less time-consuming as it eliminates the extensive research and time required to visit various different suppliers, since MPLC has everything one needs for any home project in one place. Also, with people nowadays preferring to limit the number of visits to public places, MPLC is ideal,” adds Metzler. “For home industry suppliers, MPLC provides a great and a more cost-effective alternative to a stand-alone retail space. It also broadens the brands’ exposure to new customers. MPLC greatly benefits both customers and suppliers.”
