Charlie Groppetti AIFD, CFD was recognized by the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) National Board of Directors last month with the Award of Design Influence. Groppetti is also a designer for Crestview Collection's Porch View Home division. The announcement was made on July 7 during the Institute’s 2022 Awards & Induction Ceremony held in conjunction with its 2022 National Symposium “ROOTS” in Las Vegas.

This award is presented to AIFD "floral design visionary" members whose creative body of work has had national influence and constitutes a legacy of innovation. During a time where interiors were contemporary, bright,
bold and sleek, Charlie’s collection brought forth aged finishes, muted colors, texture and a reintroduction of nostalgic items in a design aesthetic that appeared authentic, time-worn and collected throughout a lifetime. Now his inspiration comes from a home and garden lifestyle, AIFD says.

Each year, AIFD holds its National Symposium in a different host city. The Symposium is an opportunity for internationally acclaimed designers to gather together to share ideas, educational tips, network and advance the industry of floral design. The 2023 AIFD National Symposium “GROW” will be taking place in Chicago, Ill., July 1-6.
