Surya announced today the appointment of Brandon Culpepper as Senior Vice President of mass merchant sales. In this role, Culpepper will oversee the development and growth of the rug and home accessories brand’s mass merchant strategy and lead sales initiatives within the segment.

Over the last couple of years, Surya has been strategically ramping up its value driven product assortment as well as optimizing sourcing and logistics to cater to the specialized needs of mass merchants. The addition of Culpepper to the team is yet another step the company is taking to strengthen its position with the segment.

“I have known Brandon for more than a decade and am thrilled to have him join Surya. His impressive track record combined with his longstanding tenure in the industry and wealth of knowledge of the mass merchant segment will be instrumental in our strategic growth moving forward,” said Surya President Satya Tiwari.

Prior to joining Surya, 20-year industry veteran Culpepper held sales leadership positions at various rug companies, including Dalyn, KAS Rugs and Mohawk. Most recently, Culpepper was the Chief Revenue Officer for Orian Rugs, where his responsibilities included management of all sales, product development and marketing within the U.S. and Canada.

“Surya has been the most progressive and innovative company in our industry for many years and I am very excited to be a part of it. We have an unprecedented ability to provide large retailers with the fashion they are looking for at the right values,” said Culpepper.

Culpepper will report to Tiwari and will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Cartersville, GA.
