ZigZagZurich Gunta Rug

The Artist Carpet Collection 2021 from ZigZagZurich is inspired by the company's love for wool and the ancient technique to weave carpets. This new production technique we developed combines a natural, unbleached, simply washed sheep’s wool (dark or light tone) combined with a bamboo silk yarn in the weft. The combination of these two yarns creates a beautiful contrast that is both luxurious yet hardwearing. “Gunta” by Michele Rondelli & Sophie Probst finds its inspiration in the age of Bauhaus. Geometric forms are the typical components of this episode in design.
