EJ Victor has announced the appointment of James Kennedy as Vice President of Operations. Kennedy will oversee updating EJ Victor’s manufacturing processes as domestic production continues to increase.

“James’ knowledge, experience and track record in improving production efficiencies make him the right person to lead EJ Victor’s manufacturing in this period of growth,” said President John Jokinen.

The majority of EJ Victor’s furniture is produced in Morganton, NC ,using sustainable, environment-friendly methods. Kennedy will build upon this tradition as well as develop new and improved approaches. He will report to Chief Operating Officer David Bennett.

“I have always had a deep respect for EJ Victor and Ralph Lauren because of their unwavering commitment to absolute quality,” said Kennedy. “My goal is to increase this type of manufacturing in the North Carolina furniture heartland and build EJ Victor into the premier high-end furniture company.”

Kennedy comes to EJ Victor with over 30 years of executive and engineering experience in the furniture industry. He has spent most of his career at Henredon and Baker. Recently, he served as Chief Operations Officer for Chaddock, where he substantially reduced lead time, improved delivery time, reduced returns and implemented custom upholstery and case programs. He has also been a key leader in Western Piedmont Community College’s Professional Crafts Program and Furniture Training Alliance. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Furniture Manufacturing and Management from North Carolina State University.
