NY NOW, COVID-19, Canceled Winter Show
NY NOW has announced that is has canceled its in-person Winter Show amid coronavirus restrictions in New York.

NY Now has canceled its in-person Winter 2021 Market scheduled for February 7 to 10, 2021, due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The in-person event is being canceled because of the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including current government restrictions on large gatherings and travel limitations. These government restrictions and the current closure of the Javits Convention Center, along with other regulations imposed in New York City by local government and public health authorities, have made it impossible to stage the NY NOW Winter Show in-person.

“We are extremely disappointed to cancel our winter 2021 in-person market. However, it has become clear that it will not be possible to bring our community together in New York in February. Our attention now turns to build on the success of our recently launched NY Now Digital Market,” said Tim Hart, Senior Vice President, NY NOW.

The Digital Market will be highlighted by the 2021 Winter Market Week that is scheduled to be held Thursday, January 28, through Wednesday, February 3. The Winter Market Week will feature a full program of content and experiences, show specials, new product introductions, and more.

“The Digital Market is a year-round discovery, connection, and lead generation platform for our community, and we were delighted to welcome more than 650 brands for its launch,” Hart continued. “It’s a privilege to be on this digital journey with our community, and we are thrilled by the possibilities it creates for us all, particularly when digital and in-person converge at the Javits Center in August 2021.”

The digital market will remain online as an ongoing resource for buyers through the end of 2020 and beyond. It will serve as a means to stay connected and a year-round engagement, discovery, and connection platform that meets buyers’ sourcing and replenishment needs.
